Assorted celebrities are teaming up with Rachael Ray and Guy Fieri in a new six-episode series on the Food Network that ends with a Zagat rating competition.
Titled "Rachael vs. Guy Celebrity Cook-off" the two Food Network stars will coach eight celebrities to cook. Divided into "Team Guy" and "Team Rachael" each episode will feature food related contests. In the end, the last contestant standing will be crowned king or queen of the "Celebrity Cook-Off" and wins $50,000 for the charity they are playing to support.

Another chef takes to Twitter to criticize Gordon Ramsay
Chef Jose Andres took to Twitter Wednesday night to voice his opinion against fellow Chef Gordon Ramsay's FOX TV show "Hell's Kitchen."
Chef Andres, host of PBS's "Taste of Spain" and from Jaleo fame, sent out two tweets:
"HellsKitchen is not making my profession look good. watching with daughters for first time, and I feel so ashamed!don't treat people badly."
Chef Gordon Ramsay expands cookware line
Award-winning Chef Gordon Ramsay, known more on this side of the pond for his less than cheerful on-air demeanor, traded in the attitude Wednesday and headed over to QVC to show off the latest additions to his line of cookware.
This isn't the celebrity chef's first visit to QVC, in late September Chef Ramsay was on the shopping channel to launch his line of specialty cookware. Chef Ramsay will return to the airwaves at 7 PM eastern later today and on Sunday, December 5 at 8 AM and 6 PM eastern.
PBS host launches cookware line
PBS cooking host Lidia Bastianich is following in the footsteps of other celebrity food hosts and has launched a line of cook and servingware.
Bastianich hosts the Emmy nominated show "Lidia's Italy" and is also an author and restaurateur. Her new line is called Lidia's kitchen and is available from QVC. This isn't her first foray into merchandising, Bastianich already has a line of food products and wines.
Glenn Beck endorses freeze dried food
Conservative, and often controversial, pundit Glenn Beck has gotten into the food promoting business.
In what could be considered typical Glenn Beck behavior, the TV-radio host and author threw his support behind Food Insurance, a company that sells disaster kits that feature "gourmet" freeze dried meals.

The Cooking Channel releases fall premiere schedule
This fall Food Network stars Bobby Flay and Rachel Ray will join the ranks of The Cooking Channel-- the sister network of the pioneering all food channel-- to host brand-new original shows.
As part of a full plate of series premieres on the new channel, Rachael Ray will host Rachael Ray's Week in a Day. The show is her first solely food-focused show in nine years and is dedicated to helping busy families in the kitchen. Chef Bobby Flay's new show is based on a single meal, brunch. Titled, Brunch @ Bobby's, Network officials say the show celebrates the chef's favorite meal of the week.
