PBS cooking host Lidia Bastianich is following in the footsteps of other celebrity food hosts and has launched a line of cook and servingware.
Bastianich hosts the Emmy nominated show "Lidia's Italy" and is also an author and restaurateur. Her new line is called Lidia's kitchen and is available from QVC. This isn't her first foray into merchandising, Bastianich already has a line of food products and wines.
According to QVC, Bastianich decided to design her cookware line after many years working in restaurant kitchens and seeing a need to ease the cooking process.
"I have always wanted my own line of kitchenware and QVC allows me to introduce my products to the whole country," said Bastianich. "Collaborating with my daughter Tanya to design pieces that can work in any home has been a true labor of love."
Bastianich's line features an eclectic assortment of ceramics, cookware and utensils. Select items from the line include ceramic serving platters in earth tones, pasta pots, and steel knives, with prices ranging from approximately $15.00 to $60.00.
